OUR HISTORY

Long tenured Wake County paramedics, with 60 years of combined experience, incorporated North State Medical Transport in 2004. They each had, and still possess, a vested interest in their local community and wanted to make a difference in the lives of the citizens in their state. The founders saw a need in their community for additional convalescent services, and founded a company based on their belief system that would ensure outstanding service delivery. Now, following years of consistent quality service, what began as a one ambulance, one county service, has quickly become one of the most prominent private ambulance services in North Carolina.

The base of operations for North State Medical Transport was originally opened in Knightdale, North Carolina, quickly followed by an additional branch in Bunn, North Carolina, to service the needs of Franklin County citizens. Due to the company’s remarkable growth, a larger building located in Raleigh, North Carolina was purchased as the new base of operations in 2010. Following that success, additional bases of operations were opened in Clinton, Goldsboro, and Henderson, North Carolina. In 2021 North State took our largest step yet, as we launched a brand new and innovative Mobile Integrated Healthcare team. Over time, growth has caused consistent changes throughout our company, but regardless of the continuous growth, our belief in exceptional patient care delivery through Compassion, Pride, and Respect remains true to this day.

All our crewmembers are experienced EMT-Basics, Advanced and Paramedics, who are certified by the state of North Carolina. These crews can utilize our top-of-the line and innovative equipment to deliver the highest level of service possible to all our patients with Compassion, Pride, & Respect.

Our leadership team works diligently to ensure that we are fulfilling the mission and values of our company. Coming from diverse backgrounds including, experience North Carolina Paramedics, MBA recipients, and proven business leaders; our leadership team works together to determine the strategic direction of our company.
